Founders of Sorority Are Paid Tribute Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae Celebrate Fiftieth Anniversary. Miss Estelle Leonard, Union City, and Mrs. Ralph B. Clark were founders present at the fiftieth anniversary celebration of Beta Beta Alumnae Chapter, Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, today at a luncheon at the home of Mrs. C. E. Cottingham, 3641 N. Pennsylvania-st. Mrs. J. C. Fix prepared the program. which included an imitated broadcast of speeches by the four living founders, recorded at the 1885 costume banquet given in their honor at the national convention last June at White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. Mrs. Fix acted as announcer and described the styles and beauty hints taken from Godey’s Fashion bowk of that period. Costumes of the period were modeled by Mrs. Walter Hammel and Mrs. R. D. Howell. Mrs. Scobe.v Cunningham and Mrs. E. W, Childe, Martinsville, 111., are other living founders of the sorority installed at De Pauw University on Oct. 15, 1885. New Song Introduced Anew sorority song, "Our Prayer.” romposed by Mrs. Clark and dedicated to the sorority, was introduced. The song, to become the sorority’s official prayer, was sung bv a trio composed of Mrs. Walter Fleming, Martinsville. Ind.; Mrs. James M. Ogden and Mrs. Claus H. Best. Mrs. T. M. Rybolt was accompanist. Mrs. Kurt Ehlert played the piano when the members sang chapter songs. Among the guest s were Miss Ruby Jean Beaver and the pledges of Butler University Chapter, including Misses Virginia Burford. Louise Baker. Jane Ann Greenlee, Nadine Fry, Ann Chapman. Mary Louise Boyd, Margaret Conner, all of Indianapolis; Miss Dorothy Carey, Westfield: Miss Beth Page, Morris. HI.; and Miss Gertrude Glover. Veedersburg. Assisting the hostess were Mesdames G. L. Clark. V. P. Murphy. J. W. Ingles, M. D. Guild, C. H. Best and Misses Mary Love Hewlett, Janet Bradley. Katherine Smith. Esther Rubush. Opal Goodrich, Florence Guild and Kathryn Louise Frost. MISS RA HE TO WED CHURCH SERVICE The Rev. F. R. Daries is to officiate at the marriage of Miss Alma Rahe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rahe, and Henry A. French, at 8:30 tonight at the Zion Evangelical Church. An informal reception is to follow at the church. Before the ceremony to be read before a greenery banked altar. Walter Hoffman is to sing, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Caldwell, organist. The bride's gown is of powder blue lace, to be worn with silver accessories and a bouquet of roses, orchids and lilies of the valley. Her sister. Mrs. Leroy Brown, is to be bridesmaid and is to wear a yellow lace gown with gold accessories and to carry yellow chrysanthemums. Rolla French, the bridegroom's brother, is to be best man. and ushers are to be Leroy Brown, Houston Whitson. Carl Rahe, the bride's cousin, and Vernon Elbrecht. Mr. and Mrs. George Wettrick hare come from Raleigh, N. C., to attend the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Raleigh, the couple is to live at 5143 E. Wash-ington-st. Three to Speak Mrs. Roberta West Nicholson, Mrs. John Downing Johnson and Joe Wallace are io address the Seventh Ward Women's Democratic Club at a meeting at 8 Monday night at (he home of Miss Sara Henzie, lf)01 N. Officers Listed for Classes, Clubs of Tudor Hall School
Class and club officers for the coming term at Tudor Hall School are announced. With Betty Amos, elected president of the senior class last spring, officers are Jane Turner vice president; Helen Wyatt, secretary, and Barbara Frantz, treasurer. Junior class is headed by Harriet Patterson, president; Marjorie McCullough, vice president and treasurer, and Jane Adams, social secretary, and the sophomore officers include Marybell Neal, president; Anne Elder, student council representative, and Barbara Brown, secretary-treasurer.
