OLEO'S GAINS CAUSE WORRY FOR MILK MEN Sales Increase Over Butter Declared Cause of Serious Problems. Increased sales of oleomargarine over butter for the first eight , months of 1935 present a serious | situation to milk producers, Charles W. Holman, Washington. D. C.. said , today. Mr. Holman discussed the problem with delegates to the National Co-operative Milk Producers Federation convention, which opened this morning in the Claypool. ‘‘A million and a half farmers who produce butterfat and a million others who produce milk are directly affected by the situation,” Mr. Holman said. The convention represents 350.000 ! farmer members, who annually market nearly a quarter of a billion ! pounds of butter, and supply milk 1 to the principal cities of the United States.
