Butler Downs Evansville in Close Tussle Bulldogs Win, 12-0, Scoring Goals at Beginning and End of Tilt. Butin's Bulldogs started and closed the evening with a touchdown, at the same time holding Evansville’s Aces scoreless to register a 12-to-0 victory at the bowl \ last night. Not long after the first quarter J pot under wav. Castas. Butler's di- j minutive quarter back, heaved a 14yard pass to Batts that put the ! ball on Evansville’s one-yard line. ; Costas wriggled through for the j touchdown on the next play. Coach John Magnabosco’s charges made the best of a couple of Central fumbles in the second and third quarters. Barley led a running attack and scored in the second period after a 28-yard drive. Sutton added the extra point, with a perfect drop kick. Another fumble recovery, a 1 penalty and a one-yard smash by Shuck added six more points in the third quarter but Sutton missed the try. With Capt. Albricht hitting the line for steady gains and quarter back Hendryx running the ends in fine fashion the Central team was a constant threat throughout the game. Davis is anxious to "get going - ’ again after losing his last time out at the Armory. Stahl, a newcomer to Indianapolis, comes highly touted. One of his outstanding feats is a draw with Dick Shikat, former title holder. Jack Kennedy, 215. Minneapolis, who has gone undefeated here, tackles Roland (Longboy) Kirshmeyer, 228, Oklahoma, in the other offering. Jack holds a decision over Ellis Bashara, a draw with Joe Cox and a victory over Doug Wycoff. A third bout will be arranged.

Police separated hair-pulling women and arrested a dozen ticket scalpers yesterday when 5000 fans staged a mad scramble at Wrigley Field for bleacher seats to the third game of the World Series. Men and women lined up at daybreak before the ticket wickets to obtain the sl.lO seats. Shortly before dawn an argument broke out. Two women scratched and tore at each other’s clothing. Others joined in the altercation, which was quelled by police details.
