HERE'S heartening advice from the beauty experts. Milady Is advised to stretch her mouth and to avoid sun-tan, for the stress this year la to be on the feminine trends. The sun-tan fad has ruined more complexions than all the cold cream on the market can restore. Pearhes-and-cream skins have been converted into mottled terracotta shades *’tth a kind of parboiled tint. Leath-ery-looking ladies, having succumbed too easily to past fashions, may as well be resigned to what they now see in their mirrors, but, thank heaven, the young girl coming on can be saved from the name disaster. I am no advocate of the sun bonnet, but it pains me to see a gorgeous complexion deliberately scorched, roasted and baked to the consistency of burnt steak and the color of browned biscuits. A famous plastic surgeon also offers encouragement with this: ‘ Some women are afraid to smile because it will cause wrinkles. That is ridiculous." Lsn't it? Women who know how to lift the spirits of those about them do not need their faces lifted. Women who smile instead of pout will carry beautiful mouths with them to their graves. For the deadliest foes to feminine loveliness are malice, envy, greed, hatred. No beauty parlor expert can lend attraction to a face that bears the stamp of smallness, jealousy and meanness upon its brow. Without its shining lamp inside, the

physical body lacks the gleam that is true beauty. It seems to me any middle-aged woman should be ashamed to face God and her neighbors without a few wrinkles, for they are our honorable battle scars, proof we have lived, suffered and triumphed. Baltzell has taken under advisement a petition to reopen a suit enjoining the state from paying the salary of Lieut- Gov. M. Then Tarzan relaed how he had rescued Naomi and killed her gorilla captor. Rhonda was amazed, for she believed this man was the timid Stanley Obroski. She shook her finger at him and chided: "You’re not a bad kid, Stanley; but you mustn’t tell stories.”

Tarzan smiled and turned away to examine the room. The walls, he found, were of hewn stone. The plank ceiling was supported by huge beams. The far end of the room was so dark he could not see the ceiling at that point; the last beams cast a heavy shadow there.
