WEDDED 50 YEARS

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Srhoek Celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary will be marked* by open house from 2 to 4 Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schock, Shelbyville Pike. Mr. and Mrs. Schock both were born in Germany. Mr. Schock came to Indianapolis in 1882. and Mrs. Schock arrived the year before. They were married in 1885, and have spent 45 years of their fifty years of married life in Indianapolis. Eleven of their 13 children are living, in adidtion to 20 grandchildren, all of whom reside in Indianapolis.

Belzer, local Boy Scout executive, will become an honorary member of Alpha Phi Omega, national Scout fraternity, after initiation ceremonies by the Indiana Univtrsity chapter tonight. LOCAL PLAYERS WIN MIXED PAIR BRIDGE TROPHY Mrs. W. K. Mannon and F. R. Buck Capture Coveted Title. Two Indianapolis bridge players. Mrs. W K Mannon and F. R. Buck, won the mixed pair championship and the Henry L. Dollman trophy for one year, in the second championship game last night of the Indianapolis Arhletir Club's ninth annual bridge tourney. Runnersup were Mrs. Elmer Ittenbach and W. J. Pray. Indianapolis. Fifty-two players, representing mid-Westem clubs, took part in the final round of play. Mrs. J. B. Suttles. formerly of Indianapolis, and now of St. Louis, playing with A R. Coffin, won top honors in the special United States Bridge Association game. The entry list in this division was limited to members of the association and associate members. Dr Dave Reese. Dayton. O. was first and Mrs. Edith Carev. Indianapolis, was runnerup in the final play of the individual championship, which preceded the pair games yesterday. Dr. Roose wins one vear'3 possession of the Joseph W Sticknev trophy, won last year by Mrs. Elmer Ittenbach. The contract team-of-four championship will be played off today in two sessions, the first beginning at 1:45. The final round will follow tonight, starting at 7:45. Winners will be awarded the T. E. Myers trophy, won last year by the DuRelle Club of Louisville. A special game tonight will be the American Whist League game for members and associate members of the league Top score pins and league trophies will be awarded the winning pair.
