DEATH CLAIMS WIDOW OF CITY DUSINESS MAN J Mrs. Caleb S. Eaglesfield, Long-Time Resident, Dies in Hospital. Mrs. C. S. Eaglesfield. 3903 N. Delaware-st, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital after an illness of more than three weeks. She was the widow of Caleb Scudder Eaglesfield. owner of the Eaglesfield Hardwood Flooring Cos., Inc., who died in 1927. Mrs. Eaglesfield was a resident of Indianapolis more than 40 years. She was bom in Watson. 111., and attended private schools in Effingham, 111, and Chicago before coming here in 1892. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are three sons. John L. Eaglesfield and William Eaglesfield, both of Indianapolis, and Thomas R. Eaglesfield, Los Angeles, Cal.; a brother, John E. Laßue, of Beech Grove, and five grandchildren. Fortune Lauds Willson Special memorial services for Romney L, WilLson, attorney, who died Sunday, will be held by the Indianapolis Bar Association in Superior Court, Room 5, at 11 tomorrow. Funeral services for Mr. Willson were at 11 today at the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary. William Fortune, chairman of the Indianapolis chapter of the American Red Cross, spoke highly yesterday of Mr. Willsbn's unselfish work as voluntary legal adviser of the local chapter, a position he took in 1917. “The Red Cross will always appreciate the sacrifices made by Mr. Willson, - ’ said Mr. Fortune. “He performed valuable services for thousands of men and their families in helping the Red Cross meet the unusual demands that existed as the veterans returned from abroad. He contributed immeasurably to the chapter’s record of service.” Walther Rites Tomorrow Funeral services for Karl Henry Walther, who died Sunday of heart ailment at his home, 1129 Hoefgenst, will be held at the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary at 3:30 tomorrow'. Burial will be in Crown Hill. Mr. Walther. who was 36. was an employe of the Illinois Building. He is survived by his father, Franklin Walther; three sisters. Miss Hazel Walther. Miss Maud Walther and Miss Martha Walther and two brothers. Claude and Franklin Jr., all of Indianapolis. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Mrs. Sarah Craig Dead Mrs. Sarah L. Craig died yesterday at her home, 1130 Park-av, after an illness of three years. She would have been 86 today. Mrs. Craig was a lifelong resident of Indiana. She lived in Noblesvilie before coming to Indianapolis in 1927. Her husband. Henry Craig, died 25 years ago. Funeral services will be at 10 tomorrow in the home. Burial will be at Noblesvilie. Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Anna C. Thomas; two grandchildren. Fred Thomas, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Joe Braune, Toledo, 0., and three great-grandchildren. Long-Time Resident Passes Mrs. Mattie Schreckengost. a resident of Indianapolis 45 years, died yesterday at her home, 2433 Guilford-av, after an illness of five weeks. She was 80. Mrs. Schreckengost was the widow of Elijah Schreckengost, who died in 1918. Surviving are a son, H. A. Schreckengost; two grandsons, Harold Schreckengost and John Schreckengost, and a greatgrandson. Mrs. Kathryn Poole Dies Mrs. Kathryn Eleanor Poole, wife of Clarence H. Poole, died yesterday at her home on Sumner-rd a short illness. She was 28. Francis Fisher
An outstanding member of the famed aerial family is Francis Fisher, who performs twice daily with the Russell Brothers threering circus, on view today at E. lOth-st and Linwood-av. The circus will move to the circus ground on E. 38th-st, at the state fairground entrance, for two performances tomorrow. Other acts featured includes “Upside-Down White,” the French Avalons, the Connors Trio, Russian Romanoffs and Frank Miller's dancing horses. prominent in Indiana politics before going to Washington, where he served for many years as United States marshal of the District of Columbia. Surviving are five children. Miss Charlotte Ransdell, William Ransdell. Dr. Robert C. Ransdell. all of Washington, Mrs. Richard Warner, Boston, and Hervey Bates Ransdell, United States Navy. Relatives in Indianapolis are two nieces, Mrs. Clarence Martindale, Miss Charlotte Cathcart, and a nephew, Hervey Bates. Mrs. John Perrin.
