Champ to Risk Title Against Chewchki Here Londos Agrees to Tackle Roguish Redskin at Armory Tuesday. Both Jim Londos and Chief 'Bear Claws) Chewchki have agreed to terms and will clash in the feature encounter on the Hercules A. C. wrestling card at the Armory next Tuesday night, it has been announced by Matchmaker Llojd Carter. Chewchki, the 242-pound Indian whose 15-months’ suspension from wrestling in Indiana was lifted Thursday will arrive in the city today. The redskin had been barred by the State Athletic Commission for using rough tactics in a bout at the Armory. Carter reports that the Chief is elated over the chr.nce to get a c ack at Londos and the world's heavyweight mat title. He figures he tias a good chance to upset the Greek ace. The bout calls for two lalls out of three. Chewchki. one of the most colorful heavyweights, will outweigh Londos by 40 pounds. Jim scales 202. The Indian boasts a bag of trick offensive maneuvers and usually can be relied upon to puli one or two of them out of the sack in every battle. The chief will pit his two-fisted style of attack against London’ mat skill. Two other heavyweight bouts will be offered on the card. Tickets are on sale today at Hook's Lincoln drug j store and the Lemrke Service Shop
Navy Crew Engages Columbia on Harlem By United Press NEW YORK. April 20.—Navy’s varsity crew was levored today over a green Columbia boatload in the opening of intercollegiate rowing on the Harlem. Both crews completed workouts yesterday over a placid course, and were pronounced ready. Navy is a top-heavy favorite for two reasons —the inexperience of the Columbia eight and Coach Glendon's inability to hit upon a definite boating. Only yesterday he promoted 17-year-old Arnold Way to tsroke. V Starting at 5 p. m. with the ireshman race, and continuing at half-hour intervals through the Jayvee and varsity events, the Navy end Columbia will row oer a mile and one-half course. Nay, for the first time in a quarter century, will row in a starboard shell. AL GAINER IS VICTOR Pi; United Press NEW HAVEN, Conn., April 20.
