World Motif Chosen for Theater Ball Annual Civic Event to Be Held May 18 at Athenaeum. Mrs. Vonnegut has worked in the Civic Theater for several seasons, and as chairman of the Children's Theater has been responsible for many of their successful undertakings. The ball annually comes as a close to the theater's season of plays. Fox, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Woolling and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. McCoy. Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Kelly, Goshen, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Prevo, Greencastle, will be out-of-town guests in Dr. and Mrs. Frank M. ALUMNAE TO GIVE RUSH TEA
Members of the Indianapolis Phi Mu Alumnae Club will go to Bloomington next Saturday to attend the rush tea which the club will sponsor at the Indiana University Chapter house. Mrs. C. 11. Annual Luncheon Will Be Held
by White Cross Guild
Mrs. Jane Johnson Burroughs, chairman of music for the White .•Cross Guild annual luncheon at i 12:30 Wednesday at the Claypool, , has arranged for several artists to entertain. They are members of the Carolyn Ayres Turner string trio. Mayme Weddel Holz. soprano; Alice McCawley Rayburn, pianist, and the guild chorus, accompanied by Mrs. Fanetta Hitz Brady. A feature of the luncheon will be the awarding of gold and silver cups to White Cross guilds, adjudged to have given outstanding hospital service during the year. Dr. John G. Benson, general superintendent of the Methodist Hospital, will make the awards. A trophy will be given also to the guild which has the largest percentage of its membership present. Officers, committee chairmen and presidents of the 22 guilds will make reports summarizing the year's activities. Officers will be elected. Mrs. William C. Hartinger. president, will preside. INDIANA Saddle Horse Association will present the United States Olympic equestrian team in an exhibition May 5 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum. Among the workers on the project is Miss Gayle Robinson, daughter of Col. and Mrs. O. P. Robinson. Club Sponsors Bridge Party to Help Hospital To enable the Children’s Sunshine Club of Sunnyside to carry on iff welfare work for children at the Marion County Tuberculosis Hospital, the club will sponsor a benefit bridge party at 2 Monday, May 6, in Ayres auditorium. The club provides such amusement and entertainment at the hospital as cookie day, candy day, birthday parties, story hours, books and toys. It also maintains a loan closet to provide clothing for needy children. Mrs. Charles Bogert is party chairman and has as committees members: Door prizes, Mesdames Garrett Kirby, John E.
