STATE LIBRARY SCULPTOR DIES AT SANATORIUM Herman Harder, Brilliant German Artist, Passes at Sunnyside. Herman Harder, German sculptural architect, who completed decorative work on the Indiana State Library Building, and carved the wooden figures above the entrance to Fendrick s, in the Terminal Building, died yesterday at Sunnyside Sanatorium, where he had been a patient six weeks. Mr. Harder came to America in 1926. and had lived in Indianapolis two years. He studied in art schools in Munich, Germany, and in Italy, and had received commissions In France, Italy and Switzerland. Two figures of the former Belgium king, executed by him, are at the entrance of the Belgian royal palace. In Cincinnati, where he lived before coming to Indianapolis, he did sculptural w’ork on the union terminal station which attracted national attention. Mr. Harder was associated in Indianapolis with Adolph Wolter, who worked with him on the 18 ornamental panels and two urns at the State Library Building. Funeral services wil be held at 4 tomorrow in the Flanner <fc Buchanan Funeral Home, 25 W. Fall Creek-pkwy. The body will be cremated. Surviving is the widow, who is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Messmer, 1230 Sterling-st.

W. C. T. U. Leader Dead Mrs. Mary Conrad Keller, charter member of the Riley Cheer Guild, and active in W. C. T. U. work in Indianapolis, died yesterday at her home, 340 N. Summit-st, of a heart ailment. Services will be held at 9 Wednesday in Holy Cross Roman Cathoiic Church, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Keller was born in Washington, Ind., but had spent the greater part of her life in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Indiana Poetry Society and the Meridian Union, W. C. T. U. Surviving are the widower. Paul Keller, tailor with Welcome B. McMurray, and two brothers, Arnold Conrad. Washington, Ind., and Adylotte Conrad, whose address is unknown. Mrs. Dickerson Passes Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Dickerson, 1639 Fletcher-av, who died Saturday following a long nines, will be held at 10:30 tomorrow in the home. The body will be taken to Anderson for burial. Mrs. Dickerson, who was 85, had lived in Indianapolis 17 years. She formerly made her home in Anderson and Granite City, 111. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ida Layton, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Anna Anderson, Smith's Ferry, Pa., and two sons, John Dickerson. Anderson, and Fred Moore, Granite City. Kern Rites Tomorrow Last rites for Mrs. Addie Kern, 526 E. McCarty-st, who died in City Hospital Saturday night following a short illness, will be held at 8 tomorrow in Bedford, her former home. Mrs. Kern was 67, and lived in Indianapolis 17 years. Surviving are nine sons, Burrell. Kern, Chicago: Noble and Harry Kern, both of Bedford, and Harlan, Leland, Curtis, Frank, Paul and Hershell Kern, all of Indianapolis, and a daughter. Mrs. Ruth Cardinal, Indianapolis. Mrs. Bellemore Dead The funeral of Mrs. May Bellemore, 1838 Lockwood-st, who died Saturday following a long illness, will be held at 2 tomorrow in the residence. Burial will be in Crown Hill. Mrs. Bellemore was 71. She had lived in Indianapolis 48 years, and was a member of Franklin Christian Church. Surviving are the widower. Charles L. Bellemore. and two daughters, Mrs. Fren Vossler. and Mrs. John Robertson. Barnes Rites Wednesday Funeral set vices for Mrs. Melissa M. Barnes, who died today at Methodist Hospital after a brief illness, will be held at 1:30 Wednesday at the residence. 102 S. Neal-st, and at the West Washington-st Presbyterian Church at 2. The Rev. P. J. Simpson, church pastor, will conduct the services. Mrs. Barnes, who died at the age of 72, was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, the Missionary Society and Circle No. 1 of the church. Surviving are the widower. Edwin J. Barnes, two daughters. Mrs. Florence Darnell, and Mrs. Edward C. Wheeler. Indianapolis, a sister. Miss Mary Ross: six grand-children and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Washington Park Cemetery. Mrs. Anna Bandy Dead Funeral services for Mrs. Anna C. Bandy, who died today, will be held at 2 Wednesday at the home. East National-rd. near the Post-rd.
