May Day to Be Celebrated on Butler Campus Committees for the 1935 Butler University May Day celebration, which will be held May 25 on the Fairview campus, have been announced by Miss Grace Shelton, president of the Woman's League, sponsoring the event. State Tri-Kappa Convention Will Open April 25 Tri Kappa Sorority will hold its twenty-third biennial state convention Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 25, 26 and 27, at the Claypool, according to an announcement by Mrs. Chalmer C. Schafer, Ft. Wayne, grand president. Several hundred members of Tri Kappa from 118 chapters located in the state will attend. Mrs. William J. Teter and Mrs. Dick D. Heller will serve as delegate and alternate respectively from the Indianapolis associate chapter. Social features of the convention will be a reception and entertainment Thursday night in the Florentine room, to which all Tri Kappas are invited with the province officers serving as hostesses; luncheon Friday noon in the Chateau room; a former ball FTiday night with the grand march led by Gov. and Mrs. Paul V. McNutt; luncheon Saturday noon followed by a program tea to which all Tri Kappas, patronesses, mothers and guests are invited. Business sessions will feature the convention with an address by the grand president, election of new state officers and reports of the various province officers and committees. The object of the sorority, promotion of charity, will be discussed and special reports will be made by each chapter. Art and scholarship projects sponsored by the society will be reported.
