MRS. MERRICK, CITY TEACHER'S MOTHER, DEAD

Funeral Services Will Be Held at 10 Friday in Middlesport. Mrs. Georg* W Merrick. 3045 N. Pcnnsylvama-st, died early today at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Nell Merrick Thomas. Shortridg* High School teacher. Mrs. Merrick long had been ill. Funeral services will be at 10 Friday In the Middlesport Baptist Church. Mrs. Merrick, who was 73 is survived by Mrs. Thomas; two sons, Elmo Merrick. Kempton. and Arthur Merrick, Muncie; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Jones, Middlesport. and Mrs. SadiP Rice. Greensburg and three grandchildren. Louis G. Adam Rites Members of Mystic Tie Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, will have charge of funeral services for Louis G. Adam, who died last night at the home of his sister. Mrs. Frank L. Reissner, 3925 N. Delawa re-st. The funeral will be at 3 tomorrow in the Hi.sey Titus Funeral Home. 951 N. Delaware-st, with burial in Crown Hill. Services at the grave will be conducted bv Battery A, Spanish War veterans. Mr. Adam, who was 66. died following a stroke suffered seven weeks ago. He had made his home with Mrs. Reissner since the death of his wife. A thirty-second degree Mason, Mr. Adam was a member of Mystic Tie Lodge, the Athenaeum and the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. For 20 years he had represented a California cigar firm through HamiltonHarris A:-Co. here. Surviving are a daughter. Miss Loretta G. Adam; two brothers, Herman F Adam and William A Adam, and three sisters, Mrs. Reissner. Mrs. Leo M. Rappaport. all of Indianapolis, and Mrs Lillian A Flickinger, Beverly Hills, Cal. Carrie Denniston Passes Funeral arrangements were to he completed today for Mrs. Came A Denniston. prohibition movement leader and past, president of the Broad Ripple W. C. T U., who died yesterday in the home of her daughter. Mrs. George E. ClafTev, 4411 Winthrop-av. Mrs. Denniston. who was 75, was horn in Ohio, and came to Indianapolis 45 years ago. She had been active in the women's organizations of the Carrollton Avenue Reformed Church many years. Surviving are Mrs. ClafTey and another daughter. Mrs Hazel B Taylor. Evansville; a brother. John Bell, Mexico. Ind.. and a granddaughter. Miss Melba E. Taylor. Indianapolis.

John Corrigan Burial Requiem mass for John Corrigan, former member of the Indianapolis Police Department. 384fi Carrolltonav, who died Monday, will be offered at 9 Friday in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Corrigan retired from the police department after 38 years of service, during which he held every office except chief. Mrs Crabb. who was 72. was a member of the Seventh Christian Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Ben-Hur Lodge. Surviving are the widower. John W. Lena Griesmann Rites Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Griesmann. 049 N Jefferson-av, who died Monday at Methodist Hospital following a iong illness, will be held at 2:30 tomorrow in the residence, with burial in Crown Hill.
