A Woman's Viewpoint BY MRS. WALTER FERGUSON

Few are the male employers who have demonstrated the wisdom, social vision and downricht good nense which have made Miss Roche famous. When the coal mining business was in the doldrums, her Rocky Mountain Pue* Cos became prosperous. Sfc<* achieved success by a simple prnress exercising her humanitarian impulses to discover, not what was wrong with sales, but what might be wrong with the working conditions of the men who produced what she had to sell. She became friend and ciunselor to her employes; she raised wace3 when everybody else lowered them; she encouraged the organization of labor union* among her workers, and thus compelled the trust and affection of the men and their families. We live and learn. Sometimes slowly and reluctantly, but nonetheless surely. So now we are beginning to understand that the methods of Mrs Roche are the only ones to give us success. lieve she typifies the business leader of the future, who will seek to make the earth a safe place for humans as well as for stocks and bonds. Here is another pertinent fact about Miss Roche. Her education was not wholly academic, nor was it obtained from executive experience alone. She spent years in social service work, finding out about men. women and children. She studied the individual first and later conducted her business to fit his needs. All men could profit from the method. . . . Through the early mist of that same morning. Tarzan of the Apes was swinging northward, content that he had provided proper care for the ill Obroski. the movie “Lion Man," who was his exact double. Soon Tarzan caught the scent spoor of men—Tarmangani, white men.

When he saw Orman and West, he dropped down from the trees and approached them. “Look!” West exclaimed. “Obroski!” cried Orman; “Is it really you, Obroski?” He stepped closer and touched Tarzan's shoulder. "What did you think I was—a ghost?” said Tarzan.

Orman laughed apologetically, for indeed he had believed that Obroski was dead, and that this was his ghost. Now he accepted Tarzan as Obroski. Nor did Tarzan enlighten him. His mind was intent now on the rescue of Rhonda and Naomi, a prodigious task even for him!
