Luncheon Set for April 24 by White Cross Center
White Cross Center of the Methodist Hospital will hold its third annual luncheon at 12 Wednesday. April 24. in the Riley Room of the Claypool. Mrs- Brandt C. Downey, again will be general chairman. Committee appointments anil be completed at the March meeting of the executive board of the center at 10 Wednesday in headquarters in the nurses' residence of the hospital. The annual luncheon is attended by all White Cross Guild members and iheir friends. Election of officers will take place. The 21 guilds will report on their activities and silver cups for outstanding hospital service will be awarded. An additional feature this year will be presentation oi awards to winners in the White Cross Health Crusade, now m progress. Mrs. W. C. Hartinger will preside at the executive board meeting and the nominating committee will make
its report of officers to be voted upon at the annual meeting. Mrs. J. W. Noble is nominating committee chairman with Mesdames George A. Van Dyke, J. Raymond Lynn, Jack Harding and Dwight S. Miss Dedert and Roger Miner to Wed Tomorrow In a ceremony tomorrow afternoon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Dedert, 3336 Kenwood-av, Miss Rosemary Dedert will become the bride of Roger W, Miner, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Miner. The Rev. J. Ambrose Dunkel will read the ceremony and wedding music will be played by Miss Mary Thomas. Mrs. Asel Spellman Stitt will sing “O Promise Me” and "At Dawning.” Fred Cordes will be best man and Carl Holt, usher. The maid of honor, Miss Mary McCullough, will wear turquoise blue crepe and the bridesmaid, Miss Jean Cordes, will wear pink crepe. Both will carry bouquets of sweet peas. The bride will appear in a gray afternoon dress and carry bride’s roses. A reception will follow the ceremony. The couple will go on a short wedding trip and will make their home upon their return at 3334 Kenwoodav. Mrs. Frank L. Wayman entertained with a surprise miscellaneous shower yesterday for Miss Dedert. Y. W. C. A. TO HEAR NATIONAL OFFICIAL Miss Genevieve Lowry, New York, member of the national staff of the Young Women's Christian Association and advisory secretary, who is visiting local associations in the central region, will address a luncheon meeting of the south side group Thursday. Other program features will be music arranged by Miss Judith i Julian; devotions led by Miss Florence E. Lanham and a talk on work at the South Side Y. W. among younger girls by Miss Edith J. Inman.
