SPECIAL MUSIC FETE ARRANGED BY CATHOLICS Choir of 400 Girls From City Academies to Sing at Cathedral. A sectional meeting devoted to the music of the Roman -atholic Church and its schools will be held next Wednesday in connection with the North Central Conference of Music Educators, which will be in session here next week. At a solemn mass in SB. Peter and Paul Cathedral at 9 Wednesday morning a choir of 400 young women from the Catholic academies of the city will sing the proper and parts of the ordinary of the nass. A liturgical choir of 100 men and boys from St. Philip Neri Church combined with the Clergy Choir and the Schola Cantorum of the Cathedral will sing the Kvrie. Gloria. Sanctus and Agnus Dei from the “Mlss* Pontiflcalis'* of Don Lorenzo Perosi, director of music at the Vatican. The celebrant of the mass will be the Rt. Rev. Raymond R. Noll, vicar general of the Diocese of Indianapolis, and the sermon wnll be prearhed by the Rev. Edwin T. Hoover, dire.' 4 '-.- of the Cardinal's Choristers. C.ucago. Bishop Joseph E Ritter will .be present on the Episcopal throne. Addresses and discussions on Catholic music in the church and schools will be given at a session in the Cathedral High School auditorium immediately following the mass. killing Norsell during an argument. Three youths, charged with being members of a youthful gang of alleged auto thieves, bandits and burglars. pleaded not guilty. They are Floyd Tabor, Ed (Whitey) Alexander and Howard McKenzie. Two youths have been sentenced to 10-year prison terms in the case, while Earl Finchum, 20-year-old Ben Davis basketball star, who is said by detectives to have admitted a car theft and burglary, is at liberty. Criminal Judge Frank P. Baker released Finchum on his own recognizance after Municipal Judge Dewey Myers set bond at S2OOO. When Finchum was arrested on a previous charge in September, Judge Baker released him on SSOO bond. These charges never have been heard in Criminal Court.
