Debaters in Meet In a rontest to determine which team will go to the finals of the state debating tournament, to be held at Manchester College the latter part of this month. Technical High School's team, coached by Charles R. Parks, will meet Greensburg High School at Greensburg tomorrow afternoon in a zone event. Tech debaters are Paul Meacham, Dorothy Hammer. Alice Cleveland. Don S. Martin. Roland Boughton and Dorisann Johnson. The debate will be judged by Prof Donald E. Bowen, Indiana University. Demegorians to Speak Technical High School's Dcmegorian speakers, under the direction nf Charles R Parks, will address the McGuffeyites in the Cropsev Auditorium of the Central Public Library. Saturday afternoon. Speaker* and subjects will be Dorisann Johnson. "Story of Friar Andrew"; Don S. Martin. "Keeping Fit”; Roland Boughton. "Voice of Need"; Dorothy Hammer. “Choosing a Voice." and A1 Smith, "Temptations Upward.” Several songs will be sun by Mrs. M. C. Hammer, who will be accompanied by Dorothy Hammer at the piano. Readings will be given by Le- Myers. Rmena Smith Margie Brooks and Irene Atwood. WABASH PROFESSOR TO LECTURE AT LUNCHEON Dr. John D. Tomlinson to Address International Relation* Group. Dr. John D. Tomlinson, professor of history at Wabash College, will speak at a public luncheon meeting sponsored b> the Indianapolis Council of International Relations to be held at the Y. W. C. A. Saturday. His subject will be "The Austrian Security and Independence Problem and the Boliva-Paraguav War." Dr. Tomlinson is head of the American Committee on International Affairs, which meets earh summer at Geneva Switzerland. He is a graduate of Northwestern and Columbia Universities and has studied in Pans and at the Graduate Institute of International Studies at Geneva. CITY CHURCH LEADERS ASKS RACIAL EQUALITY Resolution by F-.'deratinn Attacks Negro Discrimination. The Indianapolis Church Federation has adopted a resolution railing for sweeping racial equality in Indianapolis and attacking discrimination against Negroes. The federation urged educational, professional and hospitalization equality and declared that restaurants. hotels and theaters be open to all races on the same terms. The resolutions were presented by Dr. Charles H. Winders, chairman of the federation's race relations committee. and approved by the executive committee.
