RECIPES GIVEN FOR SPAGHETTI DISHES
Italian Spaghetti 2 packages spaghetti 3 quarts water 2 level tablespoons salt 1 ounce dried mushrooms 1 onion, medium sized 1 cup diced ce'ery 1 ounce olive oil 2 ounces buttet Vi pound lean pork, ground Vi pound lean beef, ground 2 cans tomato paste 2 teaspoons salt Vi teaspoon pepper Parmesan cheese To three quarts of water, add two level tablespoons of salt and bring to a rapid boil. Break into this the contents of two packages of spaghetti slowly, so as not to lower the temperature of the water, tilt cover slightly, and boil slowly for 12 minutes, or until tender, stirring frequently. Put in colander and drain dry. To make sauce, wash mushrooms well and soak in one pint lukewarm water for 10 minutes. Drain mushrooms, reserving water, and put onion, celery and mushrooms through vegetable chopper, or chop fine; add to these ingredients the olive oil and fry until brown. When browned, add pork and beef, which have been thoroughly mixed. Let meat brown, then add butter and the tomato paste. Cook from 15 to 30 minutes or until thick. Be very careful that gravy does not burn. Then add salt and pepper and the warm water in which the mushrooms have been soaked, and simmer for 30 minutes over a slow fire. Place hot spaghetti on platter; pour over gravy and meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Serve. Spaghetti Chicken Salad 1 package elbow spaghetti I>2 quarts boiling water 1 level tablespoon salt 2 tups diced chicken 1 cup diced celery Vt cup diced onion Vi cup diced green pepper Vi cup diced fresh of canned red pepper I\ 2 teaspoons salt 4 tablespoons French dressing 1 cup mayonnaise 1 head of lettuce Asparagus tips Hearts of celery Add spaghetti and salt to boiling water. Cook gently and steadily 12 minutes, or until tender. Drain. Rinse with cold water. Toss together the chicken and spaghetti with remaining ingredients. Fold PORK CHOPS COOKED AS CASSEROLE DISH Seasoning and Potatoes Included in Recipe. Sear pork chops for a minute in a frying pan. Rub a casserole lightly with garlic, then with bacon fat. Put in a layer of raw potatoes, sliced very thin. Lay the pork chops over this, then put on more potatoes and repeat if you are getting up a big meal. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper. The 'avor will be improved by dabbing a little prepared mustard on the chops. Pour in some milk, about half a cup for two chops, and bake in a hot oven for 35 minutes. Serve anples ir some form. Applesauce or fried apples would be suitable. Potato Puff To two cups mashed potato, seasoned and beaten until light, add the lightly beaten yolks of i*vo eggs and one cup of grated cheese, then fold in the beaten whites. Turn into a buttered dish and bake about half an hour in a moderate oven. There is no nicer use for left-over mashed potatoes than a dish like this. But it is better if the potatoes are fresh boiled.

SHE FELT MARVELOUS WHEN HABITS BEQAMEREGULAR Kellogg’s All-Bran Relieved Her Constipation* Read this splendid letter: “I tried everything, with little or no results. I felt miserable, was 20 but looked much older, and my skin was continually breaking out. “I decided to try All-Bran, | three meals a day for about a week. Elimination became regular; I felt marvelous and looked better. Even my outlook on life was changed.”— Mrs. Armand Hamel, Pawling, N. Y. *Constipation due to insufficient “bulk” in meals. Kellogg’s All-Bran provides “bulk” to aid elimination. It also furnishes vitamin B and iron. The “bulk” in All-Bran is gentle —and safe for normal individuals. More effective than “bulk” in leafy vegetables, as it does not break down within the body. Isn’t this natural food pleasanter than patent medicines? Just eat two tablespoonfuls daily. Chronic cases, with each meal. If not relieved, see your doctor. Get the red-and-green package at your grocer’s. Much more effective than part-bran products. Made by Kellogg in Battle Creek. Keep on the Sunny Side of Life
