When Chick Thompson. Lee Tracv, finds himself alone in the world following the death of his wif \ with a baby son to take care of. he is really up against it for the authorities immediately take steps to take the child from him. Tracy is a fast talker and manages to keep the child for a time and Sally, his attractive assistant, often I>oses as the child's mother to keep the police from suspecting that they are trying to bring up the child between them. Sally loves both the child and its noisy father although she doesn't think her love for either ever will be returned. The h.gh spot in the comedy situations comes when Tracy is caught with the child and doesn’t have enough money to get the baby and his show out of town. Asa result of his need for funds and his pride in the child he enters it in a baby contest and his pal Durante takes the necessary precautions for him to win the contest by stealing the votes of the judges and marking them for Tracy. When the deception is discovered they have to run for their lives and a great fight goes into the making which includes all the carnival men and half the population of the town.
