Mrs. T. A. Gottschalk will be hostess at a luncheon Wednesday at the Spink Arms in honor of members of the Indiana state Assembly Women's Club. Mrs. Ralph N. Smith is general chairman, and reservations are in charge of Mrs. Bruce Lane, Mrs. Arthur Gilliom and Mrs. Gussie Wade. The program will include piano numbers by Mrs. H. V. Pormohlen, and a book review by Mrs. Walter Ging, Greemield. The club members will be honored at a reception Tuesday night which the Marion County Democratic Women’s Club will give at the Claypool. Book Review and Luncheon Scheduled by Propylaeum
Maxwell Anderson’s “Mary of Scotland” will be read by Mrs. Alice Mitchell before the February meeting of the Propylaeum Thursday. Luncheon at 1 will be followed by a program at 2:30. Community welfare department of the Woman’s Department Club will present Dr. Thurman B. Rice, professor of bacteriology and publio health at Indiana University, in a talk Wednesday. Dr. Rice, member of the state board of health, will talk on “Shall Our Children Be Better Born?” at a discussion luncheon. Mrs. Lee Bums, president of tha Maternal Health League, will be a special guest. Mrs. William E. Kennedy, hospital chairman, and Mrs. Charles H.
