SPEEDY DIVORCE BILL REPORTED BY COMMITTEE Recommendation Is Lacking: Measure Attacked by Rep. Black. The Indiana House of Representative today received. without recommendation, the Bohannon bill which would reduce the Indiana minimum residence requirement for dl'.orre cases to 30 days. Another bill, also submitted without recommendation, would permit the fixing of trial of divorce complaints within 30 days after suit Is Rr-p William J Black *D.. And**r.'On'. opposed the measure at yesterday’s meeting of the House Judiciary B committee. The An--r arsued that divorces should be made more difficult to obtain. He charged that the Bohannon bill would attract the o the state in quest of quick divorces. Rep Bohannan urged that the short-term residehce would attract wealthy persons to the state and give relief to persons who can not be divorced when married in an adjoining state because of the Indiana on' -year residence requirement. "They oueht to think of that before they marry." declared Rep J. Ralph Thompson <D, Seymour!. n— -rr.r;. wmß *PACMV LAbV nr,.: nt. si.i*. *l*l. r; t MtU. MATINEE: Ht, sl.l* lac.
