Not many are without that blessing. If we are, you can h sure the fault is your own and the condition can be easily remedied The world is full of those who are ready to love us. Little babies, neglected boys and girls, disillusioned men and women, pathetic old people. We’ve only to stretch out our hands to find them gra pod by those who are lonelier and sadder than ourselves. Work to do—alas, tfr 1-i the blessing millions of us lack. Yet knowing how essential steady employment is to mortal happiness, not alone for earning a living but to k* °p up morale and self-respect,

we can see that our most difficult social problem is that of providing work for everybody. I've no patience with the pessimists who are so sure the world can never b n made over. Os course, things will never be better if we all sit back convinced nothing can be done. At least. I'm going to string along for a while with those who believe enough in humanity to try’ to save it. Utopia may be a long way off, but let's keep our faces turned toward it. John W. Brewer, the baby’s father, is serving a 20-to-30-year sentence in the Colorado penitentiary after conviction on a statutory charge. Physicians said delivery was normal. The girl's mother previously had requested that an operation be performed on the girl to prevent her becoming a mother, but the courts refused.
