Hu I .11' 'I ft ** PITTSBURGH, Jan. ;:6.—An airmail pilot was burned to death in the wreckage of his plaui here today when it crashed after taking off fr~ n municipal airport in a sleet and rain storm. The pilot, Floyd Church, was flying the mails from Newark, N. J., to Columbus, O. when he crashed. Mr. Church, flying a TWA plane, landed at municipal airport at 2:02 a. m. and took off at 2:20 a. m. Weather was bad and the airplane was thought to have become ice coated in gaining altitude.
