COUNTY TANARUS, B, GROUP ISSUES FUNDS APPEAL \ 3500 Residents Fail io File Report on Christmas Seal Sales. An Increasing number of calls from persons asking assistance from the Marion County Tuberculosis Association today prompted the health agency to appeal for funds j to meet the demands. The organization, through Its president. Dr. E M Amos, is ask- • lng residents of Mnfrion County who have not done so. to pay for their 1934 tuberculosis Christmas seals. “Seals were mailed in December J to thousands of residents of the j county and the majority paid for all j of their seals.” Dr. Amos said. “In j some instances, extra gifts were re- j ceived. There are, however, approxi- j mately 35C0 residents who have ■ made no report and we are asking j them to do so now. We feel as though it is merely that they have forgotten about the matter.” It Is pointed out that the association is responsible for all seals j furnished in Marion County. “Gifts are needed more now than ■ ever i~i the face of conditions that enrouiagc the spread of tubercu- j losis," Dr. Amos said. ‘More than J 2600 persons in Marion County are j victims of (his disease.” Work of the association is made, possible only through its annual sale : of Christmas Seals.
