PASTORHEACS MORALS GROOP IN NEW HOUSE The Rev. Norris H. Coers Draws Post on Important Committee. The Rev. Morris H. Coers. 2035 N. Meridian-st, today was named chairman of the Public Morals Committee of the House of Representatives by Speaker Edward H. Stein, who announced committee appointments a few minutes after his election. The Public Morals Committee probably will consider legislation for the reorganization of the states liquor control, pari-mutuel betting and similar measures. Henry J. Richardson Jr.. 229 I-ndiana-av. Marion County’s Negro Representative, was named chairman of the Committee on Public Expenditures. Mrs. Roberta West Nicholson, 4515 N. Delaware-st, only woman member of the lower house, was given the chairmanship of the insurance committee and is a member of the committee on affairs of the City of Indianapolis, elections, public libraries, public morals and buildings and printing committees.

Leadership of the important Ways and Means Committee went to Rep. Hardin S. Linke. Columbus. Bartholomew County farmer. MURDER TRIAL IS SET Defendant Charged With Slaying of Woman Six Miles From City. The jury trial of Charles Chapman, 56-year-old alleged murderer of Mrs. Grace Lackey in a house on Carson-av six miles southwest of the city limits last January, was set today by Clyde Karrer, special judge in Criminal Court, for Jan. 28. At a sanity hearing last month Chapman was judged sane by the court. REALTORS HEAR MAYOR Kern Addresses Board at Luncheon at Washington. Mayor John W.
