CITY TEXTILE FOES TO HOLD PEACE PARLEY National Board Urges Plant, Union End Dispute in Session Saturday. Bp Timt* Special WASHINGTON, Dec. 18-Another attempt to conciliate post-strike labor problems at the Indianapoli* Bleaching Cos. plant will be made Saturday, according to an agreement reached before the Textile Labor Relations Board here. Both sides will send five representatives to a round-table discussion to be held at the Indianapolis Federal Bulding at 9 a. m., it was •greed. The board will send a conciliator from the Department of Labor to represent them. If agreement is not reached by Monday, the board then will rule rn the evidence in the car* and the findings of the Indianapolis Regional Labor Board. Final evidence was presented by company attorneys from Indianapolis and St. Louis at the hearing here yesterday afternoon. Francis Gorman, textile union strike chief, and the Indianapolis local union delegation said they would stand on the record as presented to the regional -board. Upon that, the regional board ruling was made that strikers still unemployed be given Jobs sit the plant forthwith. Yesterday's hearing was held to give the company an opportunity to show cause why that ruling should not prevail, but under direction of Chairman Walter Stacey, both were prevailed upon to try to effect an amicable agreement Bu*rday. The Indianapolis strike committee, under Charles p. Drake, organizer, began their return trip to Indianapolis by automobile this morning. They will represent the union at the meeting Saturday and the same attorneys appearing here also will attend, a* will Charles Young, plant manager. During the debate yesterday afternoon. Mr. Gorman told the board: "Indianapolis is one of the worst anti-union cities in the country. It became notorious during the Real Silk Hosiery Mills strike, but it has had this reputation for years. It may be that this plant was urged to stay open and employ strikebreakers because of the general attitude of employers in that town.*'
