GANG CHIEF, 17. SENDS WARNING NOTES TO COPS
Threatens to ‘Bump Off’ Officers for Killing of Bandit Pal. By t mUH ST. PAUL. Minn., Dec 14 Mickey is wily 17 years old. but hes a pretty tough guy. He told the police all aboi . it when he wrote them a long letter threatening to “bump em off” if they kill any more bandits. ‘‘This has gone far enough," he wrote in the note. The threats were directed principally at Patrolman Herman Schlicting. who killed Alfred Davids during an attempted robbery. ‘“The killing of Davids is the limit,” the young author said. “I hope you guys will realize that point. Thus far we have been very : careful in our—might we say some- \ what illegal—business of holdups. | etc., that death or even minor acci- I dents might not be necessary. “You have shown yrfu were not I fooling when you killed Alfred! Davids. You have reached your limit. We have reached the end of our rop*. "A1 Davids was anew member of my ganß. His only holdback was that rat Joe McGrath (McGrath was captured when Davids was killed.) We’ll get him yet. Might I add. not boastingly, that I am the boss of my own boys. i "I have issued orders to my boys which were welcomed by all. Perhaps they will interest you. They are: *T‘. No boys are to complete a job without being properly armed ”2. Do not argue with, or attempt to persuade victims. ”3. Clean up entire gang knowing Davids’ actions with us. ”4 Don't fool with cops. Shoot ffrst, fast and straight. ‘We aren’t afraid of you cops. 're out for what w’e seek and at’s more were going to get it. ♦or a final warning watch out . . . | We. know you won’t lay off but watch out - . "Sincerely, ’ MICKEY."
