Dec. 13—A flve- ; Point iabor legislation program which the American Federation of Labor will support In the coming cession of Congress was announced last night by President William Green. Legislation which the A. F. of L. •sks includes: (1) Enactment of a 30-hour week measure; <2) Outlawing of company unions and strengthening of the National Labor Relations Board; (3) Extension of the National Recovery Act, especially Bection 7-A; (4) Passage of unemployment insurance and old-age pension legislation, and <s> Restoration of Federal wage cuts by Jan. 1. CONVICTED PUBLISHER HUNTED AS FUGITIVE Court Order Is Issued for Irving Webster. Irving Webster, convicted of blackmail when he published the Indiana Journal in Indianapolis, and sentenced July 31. 1930, to two to 14 years in the Indiana State Prison, was a fugitive today and sought on a Criminal Court order. Webster was free on bond pending a Supreme Court ruling on his appeal. The Supreme Court ruled against him April 23, this year, and Criminal Judge Frank P. Baker has ordered him to begin his sentence. Court officers have been unable to find him. PEACE PROSPECT GOOD. ' WORLD -Y’ HEAD SAYS Future Grows Brighter as Years Pass, He Asserts Factors promoting world peace are much brighter than at any time in history, according to Dr. John R. Mott, World Alliance of the Y. M. C A. chairman, who paid a brief visit to the local association yesterday. He said that while there are many conditions making for international strife, the future is brighter as years go on. Dr. Mott has just returned from a survey of the missionary field in central and southern Africa.
