A Woman’s Viewpoint BY MRS WALTER f ERGI SON
HOW to get the girls out of business and into the home is a problem a world Is finding it hard to solve. It generally has been conceded that a Utile business experience will make a girl a better wife, but the question is. how are we to keep her on the home fob? It can't b** done, in my opinion, until the men are better educated in feminine psychology. Whether wives are simply more dull-witted than other women, or whether their attitudes only cause them to seem so, at least they appear to know less about the real nature of men than the business girl does. You've all known them, these litany-chanting women who stand in-a sort of perpetual-adora-tion po ** before husbands and sons, filling the air with the incense of praise, heads bowed in adoration, like acolytes taking part in some holy rite. It's their way of keeping the men in a good humor, of course, and of extracting more coin from their pockets, and there's one thing to be said for it —it works. Business training, on the other hand, removes the halo from masculine heads. Stenographers have few illusions about the inf' llibility of the boss. Just the it’ risky bus 4 nesr that of expec ..4; a girl >,o spend several years earning het living and then to settle down to satisfied domesticity. . The thrill and excitement of rushing out each morning, of finding yourself a part of the push and drive of industry, must not be lightly regarded by those who wish the girls to become home bodies.

Routine office work is as slavish as any kitchen job. Dictation is as dull as dishwashing but. say what you will, the average girl thinks of , the first as exciting and the second as boring. The problem has us all owl-eyed with bewilderment. We shall remain in that state, I believe, until we realize that the lure of the business office is as old as the lure of 1 the tide for the moon. The girls are drawn there because it’s where the men stay. The way for husI bands to get wives back into the home is t spend more time there I themselves. TARZAN AM) THE CITY OF COLD
— —— 1
Now that whe was rid of XTduze forever, the Queen's fury subsided. “That favor,” she said weakly. “What is it?” Tarzan leaned forward. ‘There is a noble who has been kind to me. He is in trouble. I ask you to save him.” Nemone’s brow clouded. “Who is he?” sho demanded, suspicion in her voice.

THE INDIANAPOLTS TIMES
When Tarzan pleaded for the imprisoned Gemnon, Thudos and Doria. the Queen cried out in fury: “You love Doria!” “No,” Tarzan insisted; ‘Gemnon loves her. Let them be happy.” But the Queen replied: “I am not happy; why should they be? Tell me you love me, Tarzan, and I shall be happy.”

Tarzan considered long, for on his answer depended Doria’s life. Then he said: “A flower does not bloom in the seed; it grows gradually, and thus love grows. I have not known you either long or well. Nemone.” With a sob the tragic Queen turned away, burying her face in her hands.

Tarzan saw her shoulders shaken with weeping, and pity filled his heart. He drew nearer to console her, but before hd" had a chance to speak she wheeled upon him, her eyes flashing through her tears. “The girl, Doria, dies!” she cried. “Xarator, our flaming volcano, shall have her tomorrow!”
