A petition for federal emergency rehef administration labor to resurface West Pearl street from Capitol avenue to Missouri street, and for removal of the car tracks and resurfacing of that street from Pennsylvania to Alabama streets, was drawn up by the board yesterday. The resurfacing in both instances will be accomplished by removing the present pavement, reversing the bricks and then replacing them on anew or smoothed base. Action of the Sinclair Refining Company in deeding to the city without charge a small tract of ground n front of its service station at South East and Morris streets will permit the board to eliminate a sharp jog and traffic hazard at that intersection.
