PEDESTRIAN HIT BY CAR Victim Suffers Arm Fracture and Leg Injuries. Herman Metzger, 35, of 2207 East New’ York street, is in city hospital today suffering from a fracture of the right arm, and right leg injuries received when he was struck by a car driven by Robert Marson, 39, of ; 1327 North Pennsylvania street. Mr. Metzger just had alighted from an eastbound Washington street trolley at Jefferson avenue and was crossing the street to go north when he was struck.

Nov. 8 —Death and the law stood at opposite sides of the bedside of Alvin H Scott. 36, in a hospital today, watching surgeons’ efforts to save the man charged with complicity in the kidnaping of Charles Urschel, Oklahoma City millionaire. Department of justice agents had warrants ordering Scott’s return to Portland but they hesitated to serve them because of the suspect's condition. * Injured critically in an automobile accident just as the federal agents were closing in on him.
