KERN ACCUSES REPUBLICANS OF OFFERING JOBS Seven Promised Post of Police Chief, Nominee Tells Rally. Assails "Stop" Campaign If all the police and firemen who havp been promised jobs by thp Republicans should get them, the city of Indianapolis would have a larger police and fire department than the cities of New- York. By r> if'-'f rrrm NEW YORK, Oct. 25.—Mrs. Alma Jordan Kittle and Mrs. Esther Day lies, both of Indianapolis, daughters of the late millionaire philanthropist, Arthur Jordan, yesterday brought action in surrogate's court to prevent probating their father's will, In which his entire estate was left to his second wife, Mrs. Alice Boyer Jordan. The daughters, children of a previous marriage, set forth three claims—that the will, signed last j August, was not duly executed; that their father was not of sound mind; and that he was unduly influenced by his second wife. Mr. Jordan, who had been president of the Postal Life Insurance i Company, left a very brief testament. Twenty-five words long, it declared he had made previous j provision for his married daughters. !
