INDIANA CROPS 81,7 PER CENT AVERAGE YIELD State 3.5 Per Cent Above Estimate for Country, Board Reveals. B ft Time* Special Washington, ort. 12.—Indiana crops will produce an 81.7 per cent yield of the ten-year average from 1922-1932, according to estimates by the crop reporting board of the department of agriculture. This is 1 9 per cent lower than the estimate last month, but 3 5 per cent above that for the country as a whole. Thirty-three important crops are considered by the board in arriving at the estimate. Corn, which underwent a 5 per cent drop from the previous forecast for the country, is estimated at 60, per cent for Indiana, which would mean 102,025000 bushels production. The general estimate is 415 per cent, or an indicated production of 1.416.772.000 bushels for the United States. Spring wheat in Indiana was estimated at 14 bushels an acre, or 112,000 bushels total. The ten-year average was 17.2 bushels an acre. Oats is estimated at 11 bushels an acre, with a total production of

Soy beans were estimated at 76 per cent and cow pease at 75 per cent. Tobacco, with a 74 per cent yield, was estimated to produce 7.910.000 pounds.
