Sept 28 President Roosevelt has shown more regard for the Constitution and the constitutional rights of the common people of America that any President since Woodrow Wilson Sherman Minton, Democratic nominee for United State* senator, stated in an address here last wight. Mr Minton was accompanied Into the Sixth congressional district by Senator Frederick Van Nuys with whom he shared the platform at Noblesvllle in an afternoon meeting "The New Deal does work and we are definitely on the road to recovers-," said Mr Minton "Now is no time for the organized hammer brigade to block the road President Roosevelt has given us government that responds. to the fundamental spirit of the Constitution that all men are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He has made it work for the little fellow, the farmer, the home owner and the working man 'as well as for business and industry. “How has the farmer fared? A national farm authority estimates that his commodities for 1f,34 will sell for approximately five billion dollars more than in 1933. “The result of the agricultural adjustment administration are unmistakable, farm prices having increased from 30 to 150 per cent. Under the subsidies provided through this fact, the farmer's income in Indiana will be supplementted to the extent of at least $12,000.000. Today the farmer's income is 39 per cent greater than under the last year of the Hoover administration '•
