NEW BOOK BY RIPLEY FORMS DEALERS' GIFT New Cartoon Volume and Radio Guide Given Warm Welcome. Grunow’s recent announcement, coincidental with the announcement of the new Grunow line of radios, including the marvelous signal beacon, that a brand new book by Ripley, the famous “Believe It or Not” cartoonist, will be given free to everyone who calls on a Grunow dealer and asks for it, has been received with an unexpectedly large amount of enthusiasm by the reading public. Throngs have flocked to Grunow dealers to get this new twenty-seven-page book containing never-before-published cartoons by Ripley, short wave log and time table, world time chart and other valuable information, and to see and hear the new line of Grunow radios. Orders Roll in Sales response has been immediate and tremendous. Not for several years has the announcement of anew line of radios been followed by such an avalanche of orders. The answer of course, is in the fact the new Grunow radio line really revolutionizes all-wave reception. Whereas for the last several years the introduction of new models by all of the radio manufacturers has been largely a matter of formality, depending for its interest upon a slightly improved tonal quality or a change in cabinet design, the new Grunow with signal beacon is firstpage news to any one interested in getting everything on the air everywhere. Signal Beacon Stressed Although the signal beacon is by no means the only new feature to be found in the new Grunow line, this one new feature alone outshines all the other great advancements incorporated in this new line. It is confidently predicted by marketing experts that this one new feature will do much toward revolutionizing and reviving the radio business. Incorporated in the Grunow allwave models, the signal beacon is in effect a station finder, that makes it comparatively simple for the most uninformed and inexperienced tuner for foreign stations to quickly and correctly tune in all the world stations that can be heard at the time of tuning.
