The petition was drawn after permission was refused seventeen out of the twenty-three recent grade school graduates in Speedway City to transfer to city high scßools. Howard F. Wilson, Speedway school board president, said today that it was impossible to grant the transfer requests because teachers had been appointed and the budget planned. He said, however, that the matter of inadequate high school facilities in the suburb would be taken up next year.
