THRILLING BOAT RACE FINISH IS FILM FEATURE 1933 Runnerup Beats TitleHolder in World's Fair Classic. The la-t-minute victory of last year's runner-up in a thrilling outboard motorboat race on the lagoons of the world's fair at Chicago is seen in the current issue of The Times-Universal Newsreel. Aug. 24—Three full-fledged candidates for the post of Speaker of the house, succeeding the late Henry T. Rainey, bid for support of their colleagues today. Representative Sam Rayburn <Dem., Tex. made known his candidacy officially today. Previous entrants were Representative William B Bankhead (Dem.. Ala.) and Majority Leader Joseph T. Byms (Tenn.). Mr. Byms is believed to have the edge.
