It ■ ■ was an unexpected discovery that B etty made When she learned that her * two very best friends, Hortense and Florence, were frequent readers and users of Times Want Ads too! Betty was happy to show her guests through the attractively arranged rooms in the house she had rented through The Times and was quite boastful of the new summer outfit she was wearing because it was purchased with money she had received from several articles that were sold through a small ad in the “For Sale” column in The Times. Hortense told of the occasion when Tom swore off fishing, (he decided that he was a better golfer) she agreed to help him in his decision by getting rid of his fishing outfit and put a “Swap ” ad in The Times. They had a merry round of laughter when she told of the many calls that were received and of the unusual swaps that were offered. * The experience Florence had was altogether different; her husband is in the real estate business and it was from him that she learned about the great number of people who answer Times Want Ads. Every day more and more people are learning about the quick, low cost results that are produced with Times Want Ads. And because of RESULTS... The Times was the only newspaper in Indianapolis to gain in Want Ads during the first 6 months of 1934... as it • was for the 12 months of 1933. It’s really very easy to place a Want Ad in The Times... all you have to do is call Riley 5551 and say “Charge It ”!! .
