'The annual conference of the Governors of the forty-eight states which was scheduled for Mackinac Island July 26 to 20 probably will be postponed according to Governor Paul V. McNutt a member of the executive committee Reason is that many Governors will be forced to remain at home to tend their political fences because of forthcoming primaries. fiovernor McNutt said that he already had heard from Governors George White of Ohio and John Wynant of New Hampshire acquiescing in the postponement.
