FARLEY TO FIRE OPENING BLAST AT LI'L ARTHUR Democratic Boss to ‘Tell Truth’ About Senator in Talk Here. B<i Timee Sprrlnl WASHINGTON. July 12—Poet-ir.aster-Genr-ral James A. Farley will leave for Indianapolis from New York tonight. The fact that hLs opening campaign speech is scheduled for Friday the thirteenth failed to worry the national Democratic chairman, who declared that he is not superstitious. He is expected to keep his promise to Sherman Minton, Democratic opponent of Senator Arthur R. Robinson, when he speaks at the rally at the Clavpool tomorrow night. That promise is to ‘ tell the truth about Senator Arthur R Robinson,” which may make the day one of “bad luck* for the now senior senator from Indiana, it is predicted. SOLDIERS - CLUB ELECTS Company I. Eleventh Infantry, Militia. Chooses Officers. Enlisted Men's club of Company D. 151st infantry, Indiana national guard, re-eiected the following officers last night: President. Sergeant Otis Bokannan; secretary. Sergeant Eugene Kirlin; treasurer. William A Hart, and sergeant-at-arms. Corporal Carl Hendrick. Corporal Michael Beatty was elected vice-president, to succeed Corporal Bud Stoddard.
