NATION STUDIES CITY INVENTION TO FIGHT FIRES Device to Eliminate Water Damage Designed by Chief Voshell. After firemen have extinguished the flames, woeful residents often wonder whether the fire or the fire fighters caused the greatest damage. To eliminate the damage to property through the soaking of the interior of the house with heavy streams of water. Chief Harry Voshell has perfected anew fire fighting system which local firemen have been using effectively several weeks. The new system was tried out several weeks ago at the training school at South and New- Jersey streets. As it proved practical, all

engine houses now carry the fourline equipment. Due to the effectiveness In fighting recent fires here. Chief Voshell’s system is attracting nationwide attention, city authorities assert.
