HEAVY SLASH IN RURAL CENTER'S LEVY PROBABLE Tax Rate Decrease Due to $129,000 Judgment Against City. Heavy decrease In the tax rate for the rural part of Center township this year Is likely, making it one of the lowest tax rates in the state, according to Miss Hanna A. Noone. center township trustee. Consequently, the total tax rate for Center township, outside of Indianapolis. will be far below th** $1 tax limitation for tax units outside of city corporations. The decrease is brought about by decision to eliminate from the tax rate for Center township, outside, the 33-cent tuition and 75-cent special school levies because of a SI 29.000 judgment the school city of Indianapolis will have to pay to the rural part of Center township next year. The Judgment is due to annexation of part of the township several years ago and taking over by the school city of township School l. Radio Dial Twisters IHI'RSDAY P.
