HIGH CANADIAN CHIEF CHARGED WITH SEDUCTION Alberta Premier Accused by Government Employe, Former Friend. By United Press EDMONTON, Alberta, June 22. A case that may bare some of the most sensational testimony of western Canada’s court history opens Monday when Premier J. E. Brownlee of Alberta goes on trial on seduction charges. ' Mr. Brownlee’s accuser is Vivian MacMillan, 22, former government employe. Once a close friend of Mr. Brownlee, she now charges him with persuading her to accept a position in the government service, live at his home, and then threatening to discharge her if she refused his advances. Mr. Brownlee repeatedly has declared he will prove the charges groundless and has hinted the entire case is the outgrowth of political malice.),

Sunday swimming, taboo at this summer religious retreat for years, will be permitted this season for the first time. Signs along the lake beach requesting bathers to ‘‘refrain from Sunday swimming” are noticeably missing, and an old ordinance will not be enforced, according to police.
