17,242 who voted for the President in 1932, 13,351 would vote for him now. Os 13.620 who voted for Hoover in 1932, only 3,101 would support him now. This poll apparently bears out the contention of politicians that Indiana naturally is conservative and that President Roosevelt won his Indiana majority in 1932 due to the tremehdous demand for a change. The poll shows that Indianan gradually is swinging back to a distrust of anything new. Indiana bankers apparently are nursing a grouch against the administration, having voted 577 to 323 aga.iiAt President Roosevelt's policies. The national poll shows that forty-seven states have upheld the administration while big money, as represented by the bankers, is opposed to the new deal.
