ROLPH'S BODY LIESJNST ATE California Executive Will Be Buried From Home Tomorrow. By United Press SAN FRANCISCO. June 4.—The body of Governor James Rolph Jr. lay in state today under the majestic dome of the building of which he was so proud, the San Francisco city hall. Surrounded by hundreds of white gardenias, his favorite flower, and resting on a casket lined in gray the body of California’s colorful executive will remain under the high rotunda until after public funeral services this afternoon. Then it will be escorted to his home in the Mission district for private services and interment tomorrow. Governor Rolph himself chose the place where thousands of his fellow citiezns saw for the last time the man they had elected five times as mayor of San Francisco and four years ago as Goevrnor of their state. The family plans private funeral services tomorrow afternoon, followed by interment in Woodlawn cemetery. The Governor died from an illness which struck its first blow last August and forced his retirement from public life a month ago.
