REPORTERS DODGED AS WERNER JANSSEN COPIES TOSCANINI
Werner Janssen, noted modern composer, who recently was appointed a conductor of the New York Philharmonic-Symphony orchestra for next season, visit'd Indianapolis yesterday and gave a faithful imitation of the Philharmonic’s great maestro. Arturo Toscanini, in at least one respect. Reporters who sought Mr. Janssen for his views on music and his reactions to his appointment, one of the greatest honors in the American music world, were told that he did not want to see them and had nothing to say. This is the almost invariable Toscanini formula. PLAY WILL BE GIVEN AT CHURCH BANQUET Third Christian Girls* Federation to Entertain Mothers.
