QUIZ KENTUCKY MAN IN MURDER Kentucky Youth Questioned in Callahan Case by Police. Poke* todav questioned Edward Brewer, 25. Louisville, Ky., in connerrjon with the murder of Bert F. Callahan April 6. Brewer was brought here yesterday and slated a* city prison on a vagrancy charge under $2 000 bond. Detective Chief Fre.-i Simon said. . Ca! ahan and Brewer boih were known to frequent the Traction Tcirmnal building, but Brewer had not been seen there since the murder. Hartford City, and Gerald Ohrn. Robert Peak and Harry Weaver, Indianapolis. were initiated. LET ALL HITCHHIKERS WALK, OFFICIAL URGES 'Thumbers' Have Abused Hospitality, Motor Club Told. Todd Stoops, secretary-manager of ♦he Hoosier Motor Club, proposed today to take the hitch out of the hitrh-hiker. ‘Let the hitch-hiker hike.” Mr. Stoops told members of the club. 'The hitch-hiker sorely has abused the hospitality of his host, the motorist. and it is absolutely dangerous to pick up any stranger.” It takes a deeper student of psychology than the average motorist to pick out the deserving hitchhiker from the undeserving. Mr. Stoops declared. For this reason, motorists should let the whole group walk, he maintained. BODY FOUND IN CREEK Corpse Believed to Have Been in Water Ten Days. The body of a man believed to be John W. Smith. 35, Negro. 1107 North Senate avenue, was taken from the water beneath the Indiana avenue bridge over Fall creek late yesterday. Tentative identification was made by papers in clothing on the body. Police said that the body had been in the water approximately ten days.

Economical Court Regime Promised by Rhoadarmer

Republican candidate for judge of Marion superior court one. last night pledged efficient and economic operation of that court, if nominated and elected. Mr. Rhoadarmer formerly was chief deputy Marion county prosecutor. He was born in Greenfield and is a graduate of DePauw university and Indiana university law' school. He has practiced law' in Marion county more than ten years and has served as special judge in virtually all Marion county courts.

THREE INJURED tS GAR STRIKES BRIDGE Confused by Lights, Says Driver of Auto. Three young men suffered severe injuries early today when the driver cf a roadster became confused by lights on a bridge and crashed into its side. Those injured are Clifford L. Frazier, 29, of 5151 Hovey street, driver, hurt about the legs, head and side; Frank Roth, 28, of 5112 Broadway, and face lacerations, and Horace Howell, 28. of 5401 Winthrop avenue, broken left leg and chin and forehead cuts. All three were sent to city hospital. Mr. Frazier told police that he became confused ever lights on the Thirtieth street bridge over White river in Riverside park. His car Was demolished. He was ordered held by police in the hospital detention ward on charges of reckless driving.
