Almost Embarked on New Venture. Ex-Magnate Admits on Ship. (Cnpvrißht. 1934 bv United Prei>> ABOARD S S. EXILONA. April 27. —Samuel Insull revealed today how he had almost embarked on a gigantic scheme to revolutionize Greece's standing In world commerce. Friends” offered a huge sum to back him. Insull said. The aged utilities operator, en route bark to the United States to face trial in connection with the collapse of his 5100,000.000 "empire” revealed on the fourteenth day of his homeward voyage < which began on Friday the 13th > how he had been on the verge of building another empire during his exile in Greece. Friends Offered Funds “Friends offered to supply the necessary preliminary sum of $150,000 to $200,000." Insull said.
