Designed to be of interest to the whole family, the new magazine published under the auspices of the chamber's publicity rommittee of which Perry W, Lesh is chairman, carries news of current business and chamber of commerce activities, and articles of interest to readers of all ages. Tlie lead story in this month's issue deals with the supervision of all recovery activities in Indiana by Fred Hoke, state director of the National Emergency Council. The cover carries the magazines title on an orange background and features a photo-montage of five Indianapolis industries, including the Eh Lilly Company. Prest-O-Lite Battery corporation. Article on Old Firm A historical article about the Acme-Eva-ns Con pany which is the oldest continuous business in Indianapolis appears a.* the first of a series of stories under the caption of Capital City Builder. A series of questions and answers about interesting, but little known farts of the city, also are featured. Two hobbies which may appeal to all members of the family, stamp collecting and astronomy, are introduced in this issue. There also are articles on interior decorating, spring styles, and a tasty dessert. An introductory article on contract bridge appears as the first of : a series to be written by Mrs. Kay Coffin. There also is an account of the activities of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Activities of the chamber's committees including athletic, insurance. for~ ! gn trrd°, education, aviation, public relations, freight and traffic, civic affairs, building trades, and fire prevention, are reviewed briefly. Asks Name Approval In the preparation of this magazine. an effort has been made to make articles not only interesting but useful in the school work of the younger members of the fami- ! lies of subscribers. The name •'Activities" has been used for this issue only unless readers vote to continue its use for future editions. Readers have been requested to designate whether this name or one of fourteen others suggested should bp used permanently.
