KING ALBERT IS SEEN IN TIMES NEWS.PICTURE Belgium’s Fallen Monarch Featured in Latest Newsreel. Unusual views of King Albert I, of Belgium, who was killed while climbing over the slippery rocks of a mountain near Namur, are to be seen in the current issue of The Times Universal Newsreel. Graham McNamee, noted radio announcer and the screen’s talking reporter describes this and the other important news events in the reel. As messages of sympathy pour in from every part of the world, preparations are made for the King's funeral. Crown Prince Leopold rushes to the capital for his father’s funeral and his coronation as King of the Belgians. Other important news events included in the current issue are scenes at Innsbruck, Austria, as thousands of Heimwehr troops guard against a national socialist revolt; the senate continuing its probe of the air mail division of the post office department, as army planes take over the job of delivering the mails; a party of scientists arriving in Norfolk. Va., after their yacht is badly damaged by a terrific storm; a woman coal miner being forced to quit her job at Cadiz, O.; the United States ambassador to Cuba and prominent men attending a memorial service in honor of the crew of the battleship Maine; taxi drivers battling with police during a strike in Paris. France; native sponge divers risking their lives in shark infested waters at Nassau in the Bahamas; and a colorful procession at Viareggio, Italy. Great Britain holds the mandate in Palestine.

EMPLOYMENT was 1.4 per cent higher in January than during December, according to reports from representative Indiana firms to the bureau of business research of the Indiana university school of business administration. January report of the bureau shows more coal was mined in Indiana during January than in any month since December, 1930. Furniture production was larger than in any January in the preceding three years. Building trades and the stone industry remain quiet, the report continues. Steel mill operations declined, in January, but improved substantially during the early part of this month. The general trend in the state was against that of the country as a whole, having reached the lowest level in any month since May, 1933, Bank debits reached a point 10.1 above that of January, 1933.

$30,000 Saved By Timex Special NEWCASTLE, Feb. 23.—Employment in Henry county provided by the civil works administration saved $30,000 in township poor relief costs, according to figures compiled from reports of all township trustees in the county.
