Code Representatives - Will Confer in March

R* T'nitrd Press WASHINGTON, Feb 9—Administrator Hugh S. Johnson is planning to summon representatives of more than two hundred code authorities to a conference in March for the first general overhauling of the NRA code structure. The summons will go forth in the midst of what General Johnson predicts will become a movement to repeal the national industrial recovery act. It is under hot but scattered fire on Capitol Hill. The best brains of the administration are engaged in shaping the conference agenda. Weaknesses have developed in va-

There are trouble spots and what General Johnson calls • complexities.” The objective of the March meeting is to harmonize codes and fix upon general prins ciples ia their administration. NRA officials explain that no j actual change in codes will be made. It evidently is the purpose of the March conference to decide where and how codes should be | changed but the alterations, if any, j will come later. Changes would be made by- the same procedure that the codes themselves were drafted, through a series of public hearings j with all interested factions reprei sented.
