TAX DELINQUENCY REACHES NEW HIGH County Fails to Collect $2,114,559.89. Anew high level in tax delinquency in Marion county was reached last year. when 11 jxr cent of the property taxes levied were not paid. Statistics just completed in the county auditors office reveal that $2,114,559.89 of the 1933 Marion county tax bill was not paid. Total sum levied in the county in 1933 was $18,022,224.14. Total delinquent taxes on Dec. 31 amounted to $3,518,475.49. At the end of 1932 the delinquent taxes amounted to 9 3 per cent of the taxes levied in that year. For 1933, the total delinquencies were 19.5 per cent of the taxes levied that year.
